An Evening For Millionairesses

It is said that the only man that a woman can make into a millionaire is one who is already a billionaire. That would appear to be the reason why so few men turned up to the "Ladies Evening" organised at the Merkury Hotel Casino. Those who did come preferred to discharge their gentlemanly duties as quickly as possible and disappear while they still had the change
for a taxi.
One man who paid no heed to the danger, and decided to try his gambler's luck, was Michał Milowicz, the actor from Warsaw's Teatr Buffo - a man who, in the words of Olaf Lubaszenko, "never cries". Dressed in rancher's leathers, he sang a few Elvis Presley standards and, despite the obvious dangers in a room full of women, he even dared to sing "Love Me Tender", which did nothing to upset any of the ladies present, and clearly not Mariola Zdaniewicz - the Chief Editor of "Welcome to Poznań & Wielkopolska" - who was keeping step with him on the dance-floor.

As usual in the casino, there was no lack of competitions and bu- siness-card draws. On this occasion, typically feminine treasures were on offer: the inevitable body care products and ... sweet Malibu, which always makes life seem more worthwhile, for example after losing at roulette.
Another pleasant note to the ladies' evening was provided by Michał Wi¶niewski's dance troupe - a group of handsome men presenting both a dance with umbrellas and some impressive somersaults, which showed off their highly taut muscles. After presenting the ladies with roses and smiles, the dancers spent the rest of the evening on the substitutes bench, trying to catch their breath.

Following the evening's artistic entertainment, a number of the ladies happily posed for photographs beside Michał Milowicz, while the remainder tried to find out if it is true what they say about billionaires, who were themselves hiding behind a thick cloud of smoke at the gambling tables. Unfortunately, all information concerning bankruptcies that evening was kept a close secret.
